OKC RIVERSPORT Adventures:
RIVERSPORT Adventures is your passport to the most exciting attractions in the Boathouse District on the Oklahoma River. You’ll find the SandRidge Sky Zip across the Oklahoma River, the SandRidge Sky Trail adventure course and Sky Slide, the Rumble Drop 80-foot free fall, and the Youth Zone – plus kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, climbing walls, an extreme water slide, cycling and more.
While the focus is on youth, the new adventure attractions appeal to people of all ages. The 16,000 square foot pavilion includes rowing and paddling elements, classroom and event space, and is a central hub for OKC RIVERSPORT youth teams, summer camps and community events.
The adventure sports is also used for team building and corporate retreats, and is accessible via a day pass to anyone in the community.
Sky Trail™ and Slide:
The SandRidge Sky Trail is the tallest adventure course of its kind in the world. The 80-foot structure features six levels of challenges that increase in difficulty the higher you climb. Your safety harness is secure, so you are free to take it to the next level. Like a playground in the sky, the challenges include rope bridges, balance beams, zig-zag elements and more.
When you get to the top, go down the high-speed 72-foot Sky Slide – America’s tallest slide – or jump from the 80-foot Rumble Drop free fall experience. Not ready for this much adrenaline? No worries. Just walk back down the stairs to exit the structure.
Rumble Drop:
A free fall experience off the top of the SandRidge Sky Trail. Its PowerFan ® technology provides an extreme free-fall experience similar to the sensation of skydiving or bungee jumping without the bounce. A safety cable slows your descent, but not before you get the rush of falling into 80 feet of thin air.
SandRidge Sky Zip:
Soar through the air on the SandRidge Sky Zip. Start from the top of the 80-foot tall SandRidge Sky Trail and zip 700-feet across the Oklahoma River. A return zip line will bring them back to the north shore skimming just above the roofline of the youth pavilion.
SandRidge Youth Pavilion:
Coming in 2016 – This new virtual sports experience and covered pavilion will add even more adventure to the Boathouse District. Come practice your golf swing or skiing skills without having to be on the course or on the mountain! The indoor simulator will have a wide array of sports including golf, basketball, soccer, football and baseball. If you want a little more action, try the new SkyTechSport Ski and Snowboard Simulator!
Along with the virtual sports simulators, there is a large, fabric covered pavilion available for birthday parties, youth gatherings, school programs and other events. The facility features a bike check-out area for the RIVERSPORT Adventures’ recently expanded Subaru Momentum Pump Track.
